Gathering Foot :To gather skirts,or even make ruffles for pillows. Creates great gathers in shirr fabric. The underside of this foot is designed so that only half of the foot makes contact with your machine's feed dogs....this causes a gather in the fabric as you sew. It is recommended that you set your machine's tension and stitch length to a slightly higher setting to help with the gathering affect.
Walking Foot -- To be used in slipping, shifting, coming up short and in quilting. This item is a wonderful screw-on even feed walking foot, which is a moving feed system that holds and moves fabric between the presser foot's upper feed dog and the machine's lower feed dogs to better control difficult fabrics as well as multiple layers of fabric. It is great for quilting, sewing when matching prints or plaids or fabric drift is an issue
