ESR table usage method:

First, the two test pen is short, then the boot is started, and the automatic zero adjustment is completed.Compare the data measured on the road (off-road) with the ESR (equivalent series resistance) of the standard capacitor (see table below). If the measured value is greater than the standard value; for example, 8 times, it indicates that the capacitor is aging and needs to be replaced. If it is less than the standard value, it is likely to have a leakage phenomenon. The above measurements can be measured in the circuit.

What is the ESR of the capacitance?
Any capacitor has a certain resistance to the alternating current. ESR (equivalent series resistance) is the sum of ohmic resistance inside the capacitor. The ESR of the ideal capacitor is zero. In this way, a capacitor is modeled by a resistor connected in series with an ideal capacitor.
As the electrolyte will gradually dry up with the long-term use of electrolytic capacitors, the ESR of electrolytic capacitors will gradually increase with time. In today's electronic circuits, high ESR is a common problem. That is, the increase of ESR in 1-2 Europe may also be a complex problem in electronic devices. Under normal conditions, the value of ESR is very low, but if it goes through years, or if the rubber seal is not well sealed, the electrolyte will gradually dry up, and the ESR will gradually become larger. The increase of ESR will increase the voltage drop of the capacitor, resulting in heat. If you do not check ESR, your maintenance work will be very difficult. High ESR is a symbol of the failure of a capacitor. High ESR can also lead to complex electrical failures, such as overheating of capacitors, increased circuit load, and abnormal operation of other circuit components.
Why do you want to use the ESR table?
Because ordinary analog or digital meters measure electrolytic capacitors, it makes you mistake the mistake to think it is good, it will waste you a lot of time, and do not repair the equipment. If you do not test ESR, you will miss out the bad capacitance. Usually these bad capacitors have a high ESR, which you can't measure with an ordinary multimeter or a digital capacitance meter. Only the ESR meter can be used to detect the ESR of the capacitor. The ESR meter can be measured online, which means that you do not need to weld the capacitor down.
