Therefore, in order to ensure the normal use of carburetor, we must pay attention to the normal maintenance of carburetor: Regularly clean carburetor, keep the carburetor oil channel and airway clean, and keep the small aperture unobstructed. This is also very important to prolong the service life of carburetor. Many carburetor performance faults can be solved by cleaning carburetor regularly.

     

    1. Carburetor is a key component in the engine, and small changes may affect the vehicle performance. Therefore, in the process of carburetor disassembly and assembly, appropriate tools should be used with moderate strength to prevent parts from deformation. The disassembled parts should be placed neatly in order to prevent missing or misfitting during assembly.

     

     

    2. The carburetor should be cleaned in the clean field. First, clean the outer surface of carburetor, and use special cleaning agent for carburetor or industrial gasoline for cleaning internal parts. In addition to impurities, pay attention to cleaning the gasoline gum on the surface of the parts. The cleaned parts are blown clean with compressed air, and cloth or paper that will produce burrs cannot be used to wipe them, so as to prevent pollution again. Blocked holes are forbidden to be punctured by hard objects such as steel wires to prevent carburetor performance changes caused by changing the aperture.     3. During The carburetor assembly process, do not tighten the floater chamber connection screws, carburetor and engine connection screws at one time, and tighten them several times. The tightening torque of measuring hole parts is generally 1.5N.m ~ 3.0N.     5. If the machine is not used for a long time, carburettor float of the indoor fuel should be exhausted to prevent the gasoline from condensing gum deposit, causing carburetor failure. In addition, it should be particularly emphasized that the position of the idle speed adjustment screw has an important impact on the performance of machine emission, idle speed, transition, fuel consumption, etc, when cleaning carburetor, it is generally forbidden to rotate Idle Air adjustment screws. If you really need to remove the idle air conditioning screw, first screw the adjusting screw to the bottom, remember to screw in the number of turns (accurate to 1/8 turns), and return according to the original number of turns when assembling. Common faults:

    As a precise mechanical device, carburetor plays an important role in the engine and can be called the "heart" of the engine ". From a professional point of view: the failure rate of carburetor itself is extremely low. However, in actual use, the failure rate of carburetor is not low. There are two reasons:

    1. Because all the working characteristics of the engine are related to carburetor, such as acceleration, transition, fuel consumption, etc. Therefore, when judging the cause of performance failure in outboard motor, the failure of electrical devices or other mechanical components will often be confused with carburetor, and the carburetor will be replaced by misjudging it as carburetor failure. For example, the failure of the filter causes impurities to block the carburetor, and the failure of replacing the new carburetor is eliminated, but the fundamental problem is not solved. 2. The quality problems of related parts greatly shorten the service life of carburetor. For example, the decrease of cleanliness increases the wear of carburetor parts and so on.   Outboard Motor several common fault phenomena of carburetor include: difficult starting, unstable idle speed, poor transition, insufficient power, oil leakage, high fuel consumption, etc. Only the faults of carburetor are selected for analysis above. But in fact, from the perspective of the whole machine, there are many factors causing the above failure phenomenon. Such as starting difficulty: Ignition system disorder, spark plug electrode gap change, etc. will cause starting difficulty.

     

    Poor transition: Outboard motor during the process of starting to accelerate driving, the fuel supply of carburetor idle oil system gradually decreases and changes to the fuel supply of main oil system continuously increases. In order to make the oil supply connection between idle oil system and main oil system smooth, a transitional oil system is set up to ensure the smoothness of the starting process of outboard motor. The phenomenon of poor transition: when starting the acceleration process, the engine speed fluctuates greatly or flameout as the throttle is turned on. Reasons for poor transition and troubleshooting methods are as follows: 1. Idle speed measuring hole, idle speed oil circuit, main measuring hole and transition hole are partially blocked Reason: idle speed measuring hole, idle oil circuit, main measuring hole and transition hole are partially blocked, which makes the oil supply of each relevant oil system of carburetor dilute, causing poor transition. Elimination method: Clean the carburetor according to the above cleaning method. 2. Foam pipe blockage Reason: The function of carburetor foam tube is to promote the mixing of gasoline and air. After the foam hole on the foam tube is blocked by impurities, the mixing effect of gasoline and air decreases, and the atomization quality decreases, causing poor transition. Idle speed misadjustment Reason: during the transition process, carburetor oil supply mainly comes from idle oil system.
