Installation Steps

1. Place metal hook over shaft.
2. Place plastic washer over shaft.
3. Insert shaft through clock face.
4. Place dial plate brass washer over shaft.
5. Attach dail fixing brass hex nut.
6. Gently press hour hand onto shaft at 12:00 position.
7. Place minute hand over shaft at 12:00 position.
8. Gently screw minute nut in place.

Installation Steps
1.Insert shaft through hole in clock surface.
2.Gently press hour hand onto shaft at 1 2:00 position.
3.Gently press minute hand onto shaft at 12:00 position
4.Press on second hand at 12:00 position.

Notes:

- please check the size before buying.
- Please peel off the resist film of the clock hands.
- Be careful not to bend the hands with too much pressure.
- When you install them, please keep the hour hand and minute hand parallel
- Do not tighten the brass hex nut too tight
- Press hard to get all clock hands in place
- Please do not use Alkaline battery, rechargeable battery, or they will damage the clock movement.

The pointers are made of thin aluminum or iron plate after one time punch, although the packaging is good, but still can not avoid being bent during long-distance transportation. If it occurs the situation, please slightly smooth it straight by fingers. It doesn't affect usage.

The installation of pointers is skillful. Three needles should be installed separately and do not overlap as much as possible. Otherwise it will affect the performance that these pointers may not walk. Please read the notes carefully before your purchase.

About Battery

Please Do Not use a battery more than 1.5V or a high electric current battery, such as a rechargeable battery.

The Best Option is a Carbon, Alkaline Battery or a low electric current battery (less than 500 ma)

Why we should use Carbon, Alkaline Batteries or low electric current batteries on most of home clocks?

Most of clocks only need very low electric current, especially for quartz clock for home. If use a high electric current battery such as
a rechargeable battery, it may damage the clock movement, cause inaccurate time, or even burn out the clock movement, affecting the service life.

Question: Is the second hand ticking or smooth?
Answer: Smoothly goes and does not tickle-Super! without noise!

Question: Is there a Battery cover with this?
Answer: This is no battery cover. Battery is held in tight via the springiness of the contacts. Additionally, when the clock is hung, the back of the quartz clock movement mechanism will be against the wall.

Question: Does the quartz movement snap in?
Answer: Not exactly. Your clock will have a small hole that the movement shaft will fit into. It then screws to a bolt provided with the kit. Make sure that you order a wall clock movement with a shaft that will be long enough for your clock for home.

Question: Can this wall clock mechanism kit be made to run backwards (counterclockwise)?

Question: What is the diameter of hole needed in the clock panel?
Answer: IIRC it's a standard 5/16" center.

Question: Can i buy replacement parts for this product? Specifically the very last nut on the assembly
Answer: It’s cheap, just buy the whole thing. Save it to your wish list.

Question: What size battery please?
Answer: 1.5 V AA battery. Please DO NOT USE Alkaline battery, Rechargeable batteries, they will damage the machinery clock wall.

Question: What are shafts? I’m so confused I dont know which one to get. My home clock hour hand is 2 inches.
Answer: The shaft is the piece that goes through the clock and to which the hands attach. Measure the existing shaft and compare.

Question: Will this work for a radio controlled clock?
Answer: I would think not. This is a simple, battery-operated silent clock mechanism silent for clock like most clocks today. We have a large, decorative wall clock that cost $150+ and were dismayed when it stopped working. This was a cheap, effective fix and, so far, so good :-)

Question: Can the unit be installed without the metal hanging hook?
Answer: Yes it can be used with or without.

Question: I cannot get the hour or minute hands on to the shaft. They are the original hands from the clock. Why not ??
Answer: You have to make sure shaft width of clock movement is correct, match your old hands, If you are not sure, you can contact the seller, they will help you

Answer: Because the high-power alkaline battery will damage the quartz movement
